Roy Lichtenstien

Before photography my passion was always graphics, and I was heavily influenced and fascinated by pop art, especially the work of Roy Lichtenstein.
One of my favourite pieces of work, created by Lichtenstein, was ‘The Woman With The Flowered Hat’. The mixture of bold, primary colours and soft pastel tones intrigued me, as he is known for his bright images. The layout looks like dislodged puzzle pieces, carefully laid out across the page expressing the emotions and feelings of the woman.
What attracted me to him the most was his use of bright colours, bold lines and basic shapes.
